Reducing the impact of helicopters

This report was issued by the Helicopter Association International, and industry group, to urge helicopter pilots to cause less nuisance to the public. It contains many recommendations about noise reduction, including flying at a higher altitude of 2000 feet, staying over water, avoiding sharp movements, reducing speed, and making a steep descent to landing. Quiet Sky Waiheke believes that mandating such measures over Waiheke, with enforcement, could greatly lessen the noise pollution we suffer.
